Off the first ball of the second over in the Nelson first innings, BD Coley, fielding in close on the leg side, was hit in the head by a shot by LB Reade which broke his glasses and he was taken to hospital where he had stitches put in a wound and he was unable to take any further part in the match
IN Brennan and GB Murphy added 98 for the fourth wicket in the Hutt Valley first innings
