WS Haig and B Sutcliffe added 91 in 70 minutes for the sixth wicket in the Otago XI first innings
JA Gill injured his hand during the final session on the first day and had to leave the field with CV Shirley taking over as wicket-keeper
On the second day rain forced the players from the field at 10.50am with play resuming at 11.45am
Rain again stopped play at 12.10pm but resumed 5 minutes later and continued through to lunch
Rain prevented any play after lunch on the second day with the match being abandoned at 3pm
